Wireless Barometer - PS-4255
Barometric pressure and temperature help students better understand changes in weather. Set long-term logging to investigate how pressure relates to local weather! Use with phone gps to see altitude changes on local hike! Great for gas law stoichiometry work in chemistry.
Product Summary
PASCO’s Wireless Barometer with Display allows students to monitor atmospheric conditions as atmospheric pressure and temperature are changing. Placed in a small weather shelter or by an open window, this sensor allows students to watch weather systems pass in real time. Great for students making weather journals or comparing weather features to changes in atmospheric conditions.
This Barometer has a bright OLED screen that is easily visible, even when outdoors. Students power on the sensor and get instantaneous measurements. It also supports live data streaming and remote logging with PASCO software for deeper analysis.
The pressure sensor is sensitive to changes in altitude, which can aid short-term field work to determine altitude changes along a hiking trail. Pair with a mobile device and GPS to make elevation models by walking in a grid through a field. Use discerningly if the weather is changing in your local area, which will cause apparent changes in altitude when in fact it is due only to atmospheric changes.
