Ocean Optics Red Tide Spectrometer (Discontinued) - SE-7196
PASCO introduces the Ocean Optics “Red Tide” educational spectrometer — sophisticated yet compact and easy-to-use.
Product Summary
The Red Tide couples a low-cost, high-performance 2048-element linear CCD-array detector with an optical bench that’s small enough to fit into the palm of your hand. It has a wavelength range of 350-1000nm, and utilizes a detector with 650 active pixels giving one data point per nanometer.
In this preconfigured, off-the-shelf spectrometer all of the optical bench options, such as grating and entrance slit size are already selected. The Red Tide can be used with various Ocean Optics spectrometer accessories, light sources and sampling optics to create application-specific systems for various absorbance, reflection and emission applications. With its small footprint (89.1 mm x 63.3 mm), convenient USB interface, and integration times as fast as 3 milliseconds, the Red Tide is a great tool for basic lab measurements.
