The Analog ELVIS Adapter allows PASCO analog ScienceWorkshop sensors to be used with National Instruments’ Educational Laboratory Virtual Instrumentation Suite (NI ELVIS) interface. NI ELVIS combines instrumentation, data acquisition and a prototyping board in one unit.
To collect data, plug the Analog ELVIS Adapter into the prototyping board and insert a sensor. Connect the adapter to the appropriate I/O ports on ELVIS and the system is ready to use.
Once data has been collected, students can use the power and flexibility of LabVIEW software to display and condition the data as needed. This system provides the perfect opportunity for students to learn about analog data processing techniques.
